A CDL isn't one test — it's a battery of them, and the subject matter is set by federal law rather than your state, so one set of material works everywhere. The passing score is 80% in all 50 states.

Why most people fail the first time
The pass rate on first attempts is famously poor, and it is almost never because the material is hard. It is because people read the handbook once, take a random quiz, and never find out why an answer was wrong. You memorize a question instead of learning a rule — then the exam phrases it differently and you're stuck.
Every question here comes with the reasoning and the handbook section to look it up under. That's the whole design.
Ordered by handbook section
